in honor of my own birthday next week, i took two days (!) off work and i’m going to treat myself to a BRAND new site appearance. no more yellow. no more helvetica. more photos, less seriousness, more navigation, less diagonals.

moving away
in los angeles, it always warms up too much after june. it gradually gets hotter–july is bad, august is worse, and when the rest of the country starts cooling off in the fall, it stays hot, and by halloween everything that needs water for survival has already died and you are still waking up drenched [...]
